BLASTERS

With only the fifth largest entry in the meet, BLAST FINISHED SECOND in the Crawfish Fall Invitational. We had over 60% best times and scored 499.5 points! This was only intended to be an optional meet, but our swim meet entry enthusiasm grew to 31 swimmers entered in the meet, many only for one day. Crawfish, Tiger Aquatic, Pelican and CCSC all had larger entries and more individual and relay swims. But it was our fun loving, spirited BLASTERS that out swum all but the host team in this meet.

We had an amazing meet @TAQ CHRISTMAS INVITATIONAL!

We had our largest meet entry of the year with 73 swimmers and placed a very competitive THIRD PLACE behind reigning state champion Crawfish Aquatics and perennial top five state team Hurricane Swim Club.

We had excellent improvement in every age group. RESULTS

Metro High School Meet

Congratulations to all who swam in the Metro Championships

Blast High School Swimmers who competed:

Jesuit High School - Garrett Malbrough, Mark Reuther and Scott Pierce. Congratulations to the Blue Jays on winning the boys meet!

St. Scholastica Academy - Michelle Limbaugh, Beth Winkler, Alyssa Winkler and Lauren Salles.

St. Paul's School - Liam and Colin Babcock

Fontainbleu High School - Zach Knudsen and Michael Wintermute.

Many of these swimmer swam to team high school records this weekend.

DISTANCE RESULTS

ZACK KNUDSEN made the Sectional Time in the 200 breast stroke and A times in the 400 IM and 1650. COLIN BABCOCK raced to three team record setting best times. KARA KOPSCO was outstanding in the 200 fly and 1650. MICHELLE LIMBAUGH swam PR's in the 200 back and 1650. ALEX KNUDSEN went two PR's in the 200 breast and 400 IM. JESI KOPSCO set a team record in the 1650 and ROBERT KLAZYNSKI swam a solid BB time in the 1650

BLAST swimmer Kara Kopcso achieved a National USA Swimmming TOP 16 RANKING in the Girls 10 & under 400 meter freestyle. Her time of 5:09.09 ranks her 11th in the nation among 10 & under girls. She is the first BLAST swimmer to achieve a national top 16 age group time.
